The Star Spangled Banner National Historic Trail spans across the Mid-Atlantic Region at various locations. It's primary site is Fort McHenry in Maryland and the most challenging stamp to retrieve is definitely on Tangier Island.Â
A quaint little town in Northern Maryland with a very cool Maritime and Decoy Museum and the Concord Point Lighthouse Station.
A site of historical significance all it's own, it's part of the Star Spangled Banner National Historic Trail as well. You can see the full gallery here.

The Navy Yard can be found just across the street from the Washington Nationals right on the Potomac. There's a nifty little museum you can tour as part of your visit here.Â

It's been a plan for many years to visit Tangier Island and in the Summer of 2020, I finally piled the clan into the car and onto a boat for a little cruise across the Chesapeake to Island for a tour (and the stamp). We land, took a 15 minute golf cart tour of the island, followed by local crab for lunch, a walk to the public beach, and ice cream cones to top it all off.
The stamp itself can be found in the Tangier Island Museum, however it was closed the day we went due to the Coronoavirus. I can say for certain we 'earned' that stamp and have written to the museum to send a copy by mail while I also continue to search the 'net for a copy online.Â
